FAQ
1. What is a shokupan?
Shokupan (食パン) is a popular Japanese white bread renowned for its incredibly soft, fluffy, and airy texture, with a subtle sweetness. Often referred to as Japanese Milk Bread or Hokkaido Milk Bread, its superior moisture and tenderness make it perfect for thick-cut sandwiches, sweet toast, or simply enjoyed on its own!
2. Pickups
We are an online micro-bakery offering pickup every Saturday at Woolwich Arsenal. (More pickup locations are coming soon!) Orders for each week open every Monday at 6:30pm and close once we sell out. If you have any special requests or dietary needs, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Please note: We currently do not offer shipping or delivery.
3. Storage
Our breads are best enjoyed within 2 days! Please keep the loaf tightly sealed in its bag and stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure to air will cause the bread to dry out and lose its softness.
Alternatively, you can freeze the bread to enjoy later! For shokupan, please slice to your preferred size before freezing.
4. Reheating Recommendation
From Frozen:
Heat directly from frozen at 180°C for 3-5 minutes, or until warmed through and lightly golden to your liking. (Bread with fillings might take a bit longer!)
From Room Temperature:
Heat at 180°C for 2–3 minutes, or until warmed through and lightly golden to your liking.
5. Refund Policy
As all of our breads are made to order, cancellations or refunds are only accepted within 12 hours of placing your order. After that, we can't offer refunds for any reason, including missed pickups. Bread that is not collected during the designated pickup window will not be stored. Any uncollected loaves will be donated.
Refunds or replacements will only be considered if the bread is defective. Please contact us as soon as possible with details and photos so we can assist you.
